How to get Licensed

Step 1

-Be at least 18 years old.

-Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.

-Have a valid U.S. Social Security number.

-Have good moral character (per state licensing rules) and clear a background check.

Step 2

-Enroll in a state-approved 63-hour pre-licensing course (online or in-person). We recommend

Step 3

-Complete the application with the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation (DBPR), pay the fee, and provide proof of your education.

-Schedule fingerprinting for the required background check.

Step 4

The exam is administered by Pearson VUE: 100 multiple-choice questions, typically a passing score is 75% or higher.

Bring proper identification and your candidate ID.

Once you pass, you’re one big step closer!

Step 5

-Your license remains inactive until you affiliate with a licensed broker.

-At DJ & Lindsey Real Estate, once you join our team we’ll help activate your license and plug you into leads, training, and our tech stack.
